A 60-year-old woman cheated a psychologist for two decades; 8.16 crores in savings UK | PSYCHIATRIST

A 60-year-old woman who worked as a psychologist in UK for two decades using a fake certificate has been arrested. A woman named Soliya Alemi, who was working in the UK’s National Health Service, was arrested. It is reported that they have earned more than one million pounds (or 8.16 crore rupees) in the last twenty years by pretending to be a fake psychologist.

After many complaints were raised against them, the certificates were found to be fake. During the hearing at Manchester Crown Court, they claimed to have graduated from Auckland University in New Zealand. 20 charges including forgery and fraud have been charged against them.

After successfully completing six years of study, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery are the primary qualifications that doctors in the UK must have. Although they passed the first stage with a degree in human biology, they failed in the second year of the Bachelor of Medicine and were unable to take the exam again. Then the prosecutor argued in the court that they forged the necessary documents and gained access to the GMC register of medical practitioners.

The BBC reports that the prosecutor informed the court that Solia’s hometown is Tehran, Iran, she is married to a native of New Zealand, and the documents show that she worked as a nurse. Between 1998 and 2017, she also worked as a doctor in England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. But they denied all the charges against him.
