The 51-year-old teacher, who was shot after a scandal by her ex-husband in Lyaskovets, has died. This was confirmed to “24 Chasa” by MOBAL “Dr. Stefan Cherkezov”. Daniela Raykova died this morning in the intensive care unit, where they fought for her life for 2 days.
The brutal tragedy shook Lyaskovets on December 30th. Then the excavator Dimitar shot the teacher in his house and killed himself with a homemade short-barreled rifle. It all happened before the eyes of Dimitar’s 9-year-old grandson, raised by his grandfather. Until recently, he and Daniela lived on a family basis, but the man’s jealousy ended their relationship.
The drama takes place around 8 pm, when the 51-year-old woman went to return her ex-dog after their separation. The two quarreled. The angry man grabbed the homemade and shot. He shot the woman in the abdomen. Then he went to the garage for a second cartridge, returned to the bloodied body of his former partner and shot himself in the chest. He died on the spot.

At around 8.20 pm, a passer-by gave a signal after finding the two in front of the house in puddles of blood and helplessness. The woman was immediately transported to the Emergency Department of MOBAL “Dr. Stefan Cherkezov” in Veliko Tarnovo. The medics found that the shot had damaged the spleen, pancreas and one kidney, lost a lot of blood and had an initial wound in the back. That same evening, a complex life-saving operation was performed. The patient was placed in intensive care in critical condition and despite the efforts of doctors, did not survive.
The news about the death of Daniela, who is also a beloved leader of the Melpomene theater troupe, was first announced on Facebook by a group of amateurs from the town of Lyaskovets.
