A 55-year-old Coudray resident was indicted on May 4, 2022 for suspicion of sexual assault on minors under the age of 15. The six alleged victims were, at the material time, between 10 and 12 years old.
The case started in March 2021. The family brigade of the Chartres police station received a complaint file from its colleagues in Versailles (Yvelines). A 22-year-old man filed a complaint there against a resident of Coudray.

The hearings of the plaintiffs would have revealed a modus operandi. The suspect invited his friends with their son to rugby matches in Paris or to the 24 Hours of Le Mans car race. There, he would have taken advantage of their inattention to caress the private parts of the minors.
The man was arrested on May 2 and placed in police custody for 48 hours. According to the investigator, during the sixteen pages of hearings, the respondent admitted the facts and spontaneously gave the names of three other minors, victims of his actions.
At this stage of the investigations, six victims – four from Chartres, one from Luisant and one from Versailles – have filed a complaint. This father of five children, indicted, was placed under judicial control with an obligation of care, a ban on appearing in certain municipalities of Eure-et-Loir, an obligation to report to the authorities and a ban on exercising activities related to minors. While waiting for further investigations, he decided to go live in Paris.
