“Dungeons & Dragons” has been around for a few years, but the role-playing system fascinates more and more players around the world.
According to manufacturer Wizards of the Coast, 2019 was the most successful year in the franchise’s 46-year history. To celebrate this occasion, the company has created an infographic that illustrates the growth of the brand in recent years – can be seen in the picture above.
Especially in recent years, public interest in “D&D” has been increased through use in mainstream TV series such as “South Park”, “Community” or “The Big Bang Theory”.

In 2019, “D&D” recorded its sixth consecutive year of growth, 17.5 billion media impressions and 4.3 billion minutes of consumption of “D&D” content on the streaming platform Twitch. 39 percent of players identify themselves as female, and the trend is rising!
