On the 28th of last month, a woman in her 30s was arrested without bail for pushing a 3-year-old boy on a trail, reported The Oregonian, a local media outlet in the US state.
The Multnomah County District Attorney’s office in Oregon said Briana Reyes Workman (32, female) was arrested without bail on the 31st after pushing a 3-year-old girl from a train station in northwest Portland on a binary. Workman faces a total of five charges, including attempted first-degree assault and obstruction of public transportation.
According to court documents, Workman was said to be a homeless Portland resident, and it was unconfirmed whether an attorney had been obtained to represent him.
The Oregon District Attorney’s Office released CCTV footage of the incident. At the time of the crime, the boy was waiting for the train with his mother. Meanwhile, the Walkman behind the mother and daughter suddenly jumped out and pushed the child in the direction of the runway. The boy fell straight onto the railroad tracks.
The boy is said to have sustained injuries from hitting his face on a railroad track and rock. The prosecutor’s office said at the time of the rescue, the boy was complaining of severe headaches and had a small red mark on his forehead.
