Today there was a protest in front of the people’s hospital in Rakitovo, the birthplace of the woman in labor
A 25-year-old mother and her child died in the Velingrad hospital. According to the woman’s husband, she was healthy, she had no co-morbidities and was being checked regularly. A few hours after taking her to the hospital to give birth, she received a phone call that the woman and her baby were dead.
According to a message from the hospital, posted on social networks, the woman died in an emergency room and her baby was stillborn.
“Despite the many hours of efforts of a multidisciplinary team from the departments of Surgery, OAIL and AGO, the mother and child passed away. All medical activities undertaken were carried out in compliance with algorithms and according to the standards of modern practical medicine,” the hospital said on Facebook.
Earlier today there was a protest in front of the Rakitovo people’s hospital – the birthplace of the woman in labour.
An investigation procedure has been initiated in the case.
