A 21-year-old wanted to withdraw money in Erlangen and was brutally robbed

– When a man in Erlangen wanted to withdraw money, he was knocked down by a trio and his money was stolen. The perpetrators are on the run.

Early Saturday morning, according to the Middle Franconia police headquarters, unknown people hit a man over the head with a beer bottle while withdrawing money in Erlangen, seriously injuring him. At around 3:25 a.m., a 21-year-old wanted to withdraw money from an ATM on Martin-Luther-Platz. At that moment three unknown people approached from behind. One of the perpetrators hit the man in the back of the head with a beer bottle, causing the 21-year-old to fall to the ground unconscious.

The perpetrators then stole an unknown amount of money from the victim’s wallet and fled. A search for the unknown suspects was unsuccessful. The 21-year-old was taken to hospital with serious head injuries.

Description of the perpetrators: around 18 to 20 years old, 175 to 180 cm tall, normal build, dark, short hair, southern appearance. Two of the perpetrators were wearing dark outerwear, one was wearing light jeans and a light top. The police are asking witnesses to call (0911) 2112-3333.
