A 16-year-old boy, a student at the Sports Program High School in Brăila, was stabbed five times on Monday, one of the blows perforating his lung. The teenager underwent a surgical intervention and is out of any danger, according to the information provided by the medical director of the Brăila County Emergency Hospital, Dragoş Voicu.
UPDATE 21.00 A 16-year-old boy was detained by the police on suspicion of stabbing a boy of the same age. “The police have identified and brought to the police headquarters a 16-year-old young man from Brăila, suspected of committing the aggression, in order to continue the checks and accurately establish all the circumstances of the crime”, the Press Office of IPJ Brăila reported .
“A 16-year-old student from the Sports Program High School was stabbed today, outside the high school yard. He had five stab wounds, two of which were abdominal without problems, superficial, non-penetrating, one more in the armpit and that without problems, a fourth wound which was in the chest, penetrating, with blood and air in the pleura and another wound/cut in the scalp area.He was operated on the side of the lung, because it was needed there, drained, and at the moment he is out of any danger. We don’t have details about how it happened, but it was a serious fight, if the aggressor hit the knife unawares. Fortunately, if we can say so, it didn’t hit very hard”, declared Dragoş Voicu for Agerpres.
On Monday, around 4:10 p.m., the Brăila Municipal Police was informed by the Brăila County Hospital about the fact that a young man was being given medical care as a result of an assault, informs IPJ Brăila.
“The police have carried out checks, and from the first data it seems that a 16-year-old young man, from the municipality of Brăila, was assaulted, suffering bodily injuries that required specialized medical assistance. Currently, the police are carrying out investigations, in order to identify the author, having a circle of suspects, to accurately establish all the circumstances in which the event took place and to take the necessary legal measures”, the Press Office of IPJ Brăila transmitted.
