Oakland County Sheriff Michael McCabe said the shooting killed three students and injured at least six people, including one of the teachers. The detained teenager refused to testify.
The shooting was reported at 12:51 local time. Already at 14:00, medical helicopters arrived at the scene.
One of the students noted that the educational institution had already conducted training in cases of mass shooting, in connection with which the majority knew how to act correctly in this situation.
After the school was released from blocking, all students were directed to parking spaces that are located across the street from the institution.
4-6 people have been reported injured in a shooting at Oxford High School in suburban Detroit.
