Demon’s Souls remake won’t get what the original lacked

The long-awaited update to the iconic Demon’s Souls will be released on PlayStation 5 without the content that the creators of the original worked on. From Software at one time abandoned it due to the lack of an adequate budget.

We are talking about the sixth level of Archstone, which was supposed to open immediately after eliminating the last boss of the fifth Archstone. It was present in the original, but for some unknown reason it always broke. The developers were supposed to fix it over time with an update.

The information was provided by video blogger Lance MacDonald, who stated that the general content of the remake is almost identical to the original and confirmed that the sixth Archstone should not be expected.

The sixth Archstone, Archstone of the Giant, was the gateway to the realm of The Northern Limit. It is a “snow fortress, presented to the giants of the far north” and “home for a host of human-beast hybrids.”

Many fans were hoping that Bluepoint Games would work on this content. However, for now, it should not be ruled out that the authors will add the world in a post-release add-on.

The Demon’s Souls remake is out on November 19 alongside the PS5 launch.
