The outgoing president of Barcelona, Josep Bartomeu, announced at a press conference his resignation and those of the entire Board of Directors: “I have received threats and insults, we have always acted for the good of Barcelona and we have led the club in one of the most difficult moments in history. They washed their hands of it, we wanted to take the time to better organize, from a safety point of view, all the voting procedures, but they didn’t listen to us. For me, there have been irresponsible declarations and positions. Now we leave it in the hands of a management committee and hope it can do well”
Its a future superlega: “I can announce today an extraordinary measure: yesterday the BoD accepted the requirements to participate in a future European Super League for Clubs. It will be available to the future BoD and will have to be approved whether or not to participate by the Assembly. We have decided to participate in a future European Super League, which will ensure the economic sustainability of the club. We have also approved the new format of the Club World Cup”.
