iPhone, Apple | Your iPhone has a hidden “button” you hardly know about – and it’s ingenious

Your iPhone has a hidden “button” you did not know you missed.

When the home button on the iPhone disappeared a few years ago, many people were confused and thought it was unusual without it.

For those who have missed it, a brand new and very practical button has now appeared on the iPhone – which very few people know about.

The button is not visible, but sits like a sensor on the back of your phone.

If you activate it, it will be able to give you a shortcut by double or triple pressing on the back of the phone.

You can thus add two shortcuts, one for double printing and one for triple printing.

This also applies if you have on cover.

See how to activate the button in the video at the top of the case!

There are a number of convenient shortcuts to choose from. Among these we find, for example, take screenshot, lock screen, silent, home screen, or a number of accessibility options such as magnifying glass or having the text on the screen read out.

You can also choose to have your mobile scroll to the top or bottom for you.

You can also activate custom shortcuts, so in theory it will be possible to turn on the lights in the house, start your favorite music and turn up the heat with one double tap on the iPhone – provided you have such solutions in Home.

How to activate the hidden button on your iPhone

To access the new, convenient feature, you need to go through some very simple steps.

First, make sure you have updated your iPhone to iOS 14, if you have not already done so.

To check if you have the correct version or to update, go to ‘Settings’ -> ‘General’ -> ‘Update’.

When iPhone has iOS 14 or higher in place, go to ‘Settings’ and tap ‘Accessibility’.
