The Government Delegation has updated the total number of migrants who have arrived in the Region of Murcia in the greatest migratory crisis in recent years, which leaves in 454 the total number of people who have reached our shores. This increase compared to yesterday’s figures, which were 418 immigrants, is due to the fact that in the last hours the security forces have located a significant number of people what they had once made landfall in the early hours of Sunday they had managed to avoid the police action.
Through the Red Cross, they have already begun to channel the departure of migrants, following the reception protocol. Both the Red Cross and CEPAIM have already taken over 83 people who are no longer on the Escombreras dock where they have received humanitarian attention once they set foot on Spanish soil. Some 370 people are still waiting to confirm the results of their PCR tests and determine whether or not they should be quarantined.
Of the 454 people arrived in the Region irregularly, 426 are men and 28 are women, one of them pregnant. There were 46 minors on board the boats, most of them male.
