Key date for the motor vehicle insurance change

November 30th is the annual cut-off date for changing vehicle insurance. Because a termination must be available up to one month before the end of the term and the majority of the contracts run until the end of December. If you do not cancel, the insurance will be extended by one year.

Building Energy Act comes into force

The Building Energy Act comes into force on November 1, 2020. When renovating a house, the following must therefore be observed from November: Unlike before, not only landlords and sellers are obliged to present the energy certificate and hand it over when the contract is concluded. What is new is that in future brokers will also be required to ensure that the energy certificate is available. For them this means that they have to provide all the information when they advertise the property.

Anyone who wants to implement a renovation in the future must also have an informative consultation beforehand. In addition, from 2026 there will be restrictions on oil and coal heating.
