For comparison, the older GA102 chip, which serves as the main one for the GeForce RTX 3090 and RTX 3080 models, has 28.3 billion transistors on board. GA104-300 die area is also smaller than GA102: 392 mm2 against 628 mm2 from GA102. The graphics chip is manufactured by Samsung using an 8nm process technology.
