PORDENONE. She will be open on Monday 26 October, regardless of what the government has ordered with the new decree. Alessandra Filippi, young owner of the Fit and furious gym in via Roma in Maniago, challenges Giuseppe Conte and does not close the business.
“Motor exercise is essential for health and gyms and swimming pools are essential: I keep it open, I don’t care what is included in the last Dpcm – he commented -. In four months I lost 16,000 euros: for three I didn’t work, due to the first closure, and one month I worked for free, having decided to meet my customers and get them to recover their subscriptions.
Now another blow: I’m not there. In my opinion these measures are unconstitutional and I do not accept being subjected to unjust choices that penalize everyone ».
«If I close for another month, I never open again – is Alessandra’s bitter consideration -. Since the pandemic exploded, we have adapted to the requests of the government, respecting the rules to the letter and taking the necessary precautions: in the gym the distancing was already guaranteed, they asked us for more and we performed.
And now? Why close us? Activities that do not comply with the rules must be sanctioned or closed, not all of them without distinction ”.
The gym in via Roma was inaugurated just over a year ago, on 9 October 2019: a dream come true, the result of many sacrifices. Now the new closure until November 24th threatens to throw everything away. –
