The northeast national division TSV Neudrossenfeld had to run after a two-goal deficit against SV Mitterteich on Friday evening – and this time the mortgage was too high. TSV fought their way up to 1: 2, but remained without points in the 1: 3 defeat for the first time since the start of the season and now only has outsider chances in the fight for second place.

TSV Neudrossenfeld – SV Mitterteich 1:3 (0:2)
That was not how the ambitious Neudrossenfelder had imagined: After six minutes they were already 2-0 down. The defense was probably still thinking about it, acting far too indecisively – and the wide-awake Abbey countries took advantage of that. First Kevin Grnauer skilfully prepared the 0: 1 for Stefan Meisel, only a little later he completed the 0: 2 himself.
TSV Neudrossenfeld needed some time to recover from the paralysis, but then launched promising attacks for the first time in this game. Mikel Seiter (25th minute) narrowly missed the connection goal, Nico Bhmer missed the guest goal from a distance. Another dangerous attack by the hosts thwarted the guests with their combined forces.
Clear chances were still in short supply with the Neudrossenfeldern – and SV Mitterteich relied on its defensive strength. He curled up in his own half until the break and wanted to take the lead into the second half. And it succeeded.
Kolb scores follow-up hits
After the break, Neudrossenfeld tried hard, but still hardly came to a dangerous conclusion. Only goal hunter Stefan Kolb brought hope to the home team. From the turn he heaved the ball into the net untenable – only 1: 2. At least a draw was now within reach, but this time there was no happy ending. After an unnecessary loss of the ball, Meisel had free rein and no trouble to secure the guest victory with his second goal. The SVM had already been given opportunities to make the preliminary decision through Meisel (51st) and Marco Kieling (74th), who were always dangerous on the counterattack.
The Neudrossenfelder offered a very mixed performance, Bhmer was still the most noticeable player. The Mitterteicher deservedly took the points home.
TSV coach Markus Taschner also saw it this way: “Congratulations to the SV. He was very compact, made the game tight. We fell behind due to a lack of concentration, we also lacked punch.” Taschner’s counterpart Martin Schuster gladly accepted the congratulations: “We played very well against the ball. Our claim to be aggressive from the start was rewarded.”
