It’s still Valtteri Bottas the fastest driver in the second free practice session of the GP of Portugal, on the Portimao circuit. The Finn from Mercedes, first also in FP1, gets a brilliant 1:17.940, detaching by more than half a second the most immediate opponents, Max Verstappen (Red Bull) e Lando Norris (McLaren).
Well, compared to expectations on the eve, the two Ferraris: Charles Leclerc confirm the fourth position, 9 tenths from Bottas, while Sebastian Vettel climbs from 11th to sixth place, 3 tenths behind his teammate. Between the two current Ferrari drivers, the future Ferrari driver, Carlos Sainz (McLaren), who does better than the German by less than a tenth.
Only eighth Lewis Hamilton: the champion of Mercedes he is over 1 second and 3 tenths behind his teammate. In front of the British the surprising Pierre Gasly (AlphaTauri), which however causes one of two session interruptions (power unit on fire).
