Huawei release smart glassesin Indonesia at a price of Rp. 6 million. What are the advantages?
These smart glasses are the fruit of Huawei’s collaboration with Gentle Monster. The name itself is Huawei Gentle Monster Eyewear II.
In appearance there is no change like glasses in general. Comes with classic colors and elegant frame shapes.
“It can be easily combined with the user’s clothes or accessories,” said Edi Supartono, Training Director of Huawei Consumer Business Group Indonesia at the online launch event, Thursday (22/10/2020).
Huawei promises that these glasses are comfortable to use because they are made using cellulose acetate which is skin friendly. This material also makes Huawei Gentle Monster II strong and durable.
“The hinge is made of elastic titanium. The design of the handle is much more curved than the previous eyewear. This puts less pressure on the count and ears, thereby reducing discomfort when used,” explained Edi.
Huawei also paid attention to the case design. Inspired by the women’s handbag that is trending in 2020, the surface is made soft and functions not only as a storage area for glasses. This case is used to refill the glasses.
Huawei Gentle Monster II adopts a lens glass from Zeiss. Especially sunglasses use lenses that use category three UV protection. This can reduce sunlight by up to 90% and is effective at protecting from UV rays.

Embedded dual speakers with semi open design create Huawei Gentle Monster II can form the direction of the sound cavity and direct transmission of the beam from the sound field in the right and left temples.
“So that it produces stereo sound, clear and layered. When listening to music or receiving voice calls, it will not leak out, so privacy is maintained. So you don’t need to be afraid that the person next to you will listen,” claims Edi.
Huawei also provides automatic use detection. The music will pause automatically when the user removes the glasses, and will resume after putting it back in within three minutes. If it was more the music would actually stop.
With low lanterns, it can automatically recognize usage modes, from playing games, listening to music to watching videos. To be more interactive, there are six sensors embedded. There’s sliding, tapping to pinching on the handle for control.
The battery life is promised 5 hours when listening to music and 3.5 hours for voice calls on a single charge. This capability is claimed to be 40% of the first generation.
To charge the battery itself only takes 90 minutes. However, if it only takes 15 minutes, you can listen to music for 1.5 hours.
