CD Tenerife admits contacts by Fran Sol. The Madrid striker is at the moment the number one objective of the Blue and White sports management, although from the club they keep open “other two or three fronts” – sources close to the technical team point out – to prop up a key demarcation in the composition of the project.
For weeks Sol has been coveted by Juan Carlos Cordero, who asked his agents at the beginning of the market to consider Tenerife’s option for the return of the striker to Spain, who signed spectacular records in the Willem II as he passed through Holland. So much so, that Dinamo Kiev (his current club) decided to pay a transfer for their federative rights: 3.5 million euros.
The operation is extremely complex. The blue and white club guarantees a preponderant role for Sol, as they understand that it would fit perfectly into Fran Fernández’s schemes. One of the difficulties is the extremely high competition, although the number of suitors has begun to decrease. Real Oviedo and Las Palmas, who asked about him, have already found their reference nine in the market (Blanco Leschuk the carbayones and Iemello the yellow ones). Another option for Fran is Girona, but only if Stuani went to Real Valladolid. In fact, the forward’s representative has confirmed the rojiblanco interest – and also that of Tenerife – in statements to ‘Diari de Girona’.
There is a factor very favorable to Tenerife. The option that the Blue and Whites are exploring is a transfer with a shared tab in which Sol would voluntarily agree to cut his emoluments. Of course, with a mandatory purchase option in case of promotion to the First Division. In this sense, they trust the Heliodoro offices that there could be a satisfactory agreement with Dinamo.
Paradoxically, it is more complicated for Fran to end up in the top category by means of the transfer because this possibility would further reduce what the footballer would be charging, sources of the representative need when he asks about the interest shown these days by several First teams. Tenerife is well positioned and the next few hours will be crucial. What seemed chimerical a month ago is now a real option: that Fran Sol comes on loan to the Blue and White team and becomes their franchise man for the already started 20-21 project.
The Lamb factor
The sports director’s contacts with Fran Sol and his agent, Rafa Barber, the same from Naranjo, have been very numerous. In addition, a couple of players from the Blue and White first team have been deeply involved in the operation and have ‘wasapeado’ with the Madrid player to convince him that Tenerife is going to be the best option for his growth. This Monday, he has been left out of Dinamo’s call for the first round of the Champions League.
