On strike, the medico-social agents of the hospital of Montluçon (Allier) demand a salary increase

The representatives of the medico-social world are angry. At the Montluçon hospital center, there are around forty agents the Home Nursing Service (Ssiad) and the Early Medico-Social Action Center (CAMSP) to have triggered a strike movement, this Thursday, October 22.

At issue: the “exclusion” of medico-social professions from the supplementary treatment index (CTI). A monthly increase of 183 euros net decided during the Ségur de la santé (which took place between May 25 and July 10, 2020).

Premiums of 500 euros for caregivers in the Allier, not 1,500: “These people have nevertheless put their lives on the line”

It is not acceptable that these agents are excluded from this salary increase. We had already alerted parliamentarians on October 12, but nothing has changed.

Magali Souche, general secretary of the CGT for the Montluçon hospital center

The striking agents also denounce “The lack of staff and beds” available to the hospital. “The CGT has not signed the Ségur de la santé because it is not satisfactory. We are demanding a salary increase of 300 euros, ”adds Magali Souche.

Towards a new day of strike this Friday?

The union filed a new strike notice for the day of October 23 and said it was “determined to continue the movement”.

“It would be enough for our elected officials to take up the issue for the problem to be resolved during the day. Otherwise, we will continue to file notices, ”says the secretary general of the CGT.
