The longest Russian slide in the US opens its doors and is in New York – Telemundo New York (47)

NEW YORK – If you like roller coasters and outdoor activities, you cannot miss this new attraction that is only a couple of hours from New York.

The “Cliffside Coaster” is a Russian slide located on Mt. Van Hoevenberg. At 1.4 miles long and inaugurated on October 11, the slide and roller coaster travels the length of the 1980 Olympic toboggan run and is the latest year-round attraction at the Lake Placid Olympic Sites.

“This revitalization is transforming the complex into a provider of year-round excitement and entertainment for athletes and families.” Governor Cuomo said in a statement.

The slide was built as part of the ongoing renovations to the Van Hoevenberg sled complex, designed to remain open year-round.

But if you’re afraid of high speeds or heights, no problem, reportedly visitors can drive their car down the mountain tracks and also control the speed of their stroller gliding down the track.

The park also includes zip lines and other activities for all kinds of tastes.

The attraction will be open all year round but only on weekends from 11 am to 4 pm

Governor Cuomo has committed nearly $ 240 million in funding to support properties for the state’s Olympic Regional Development Authority.
