On Thursday, October 22, from 9 am to 11.59 pm, traffic will be closed on Aleksandra Čaka Street, before the intersection of Stabu Street (in the direction from the center) and Artilērijas Street.
On Friday, October 23, from 9 am to 11.59 pm, traffic will be closed on Aleksandra Čaka Street in the section from Artilērijas Street to Ērgļu Street.
On Saturday, October 24, from 9 am to 11.59 pm, the asphalting works will take place in a section divided by a safety island from Ērgļu Street to Pērnavas Street. Asphalt concrete will be laid in the intersection areas, regulating the traffic in the opposite direction, but not closing it.
Asphalting is planned to be carried out during the day, taking into account that high-quality laying of asphalt concrete surface requires favorable weather conditions, when the air temperature reaches at least +10 degrees.
Prior to the closure of the streets, the placement of bypasses and road signs will be ensured.
Vehicles of residents and businesses located on these sections of streets will be provided with access to the residence or business. Residents should also be aware that asphalt concrete will need time to cool after installation, so access to the property can be difficult.
Riga City Council Traffic Department calls for acquaintance with traffic organizations and changes in public transport and plan a route in a timely manner.
Already reported that this summer repair of Čaka Street worth three million has startedby renovating pavements and sidewalks.
