In the interview, Babiš admitted that the government had made mistakes, but similarly to the previous ones, he connected them mainly with the relaxation of measures.
–
“We made mistakes because we succumbed to the pressure of loosening that we stopped wearing drapes in the summer. We all had the feeling that the virus was gone, more mistakes were made, “said Babiš.
–
He added that he wants people to start behaving the same as during the first waves, now this is not the case. “I’d rather ask people to take the situation seriously,” he said.
–
He reminded that laboratories are conducting more and more tests – over 40,000 were performed on Tuesday, 30 percent of them detected the infection.

Almost 118,000 people are currently battling coronavirus in the Czech Republic. The Institute of Health Information and Statistics (IHIS) came up with a model on Wednesday evening, which, at the current rate of covide spread, assumes 205,000 infected in the first week of November and 330,000 infected in the second week of November.
–
The models assume that the reproductive number R, which reflects how many people will infect one infected person on average, will be 1.36 as it is now.

On Wednesday, the government introduced the so-called lockdown, restricting the movement of people to trips to work, shopping or nature. However, it did not limit the distance to which these journeys can take place.
–
It has also restricted people’s meetings – with the exception of household members, a maximum of two people from different households can move outside together.
