15.25 Less than 25 kilometers to Puerto de Urbasa, second roughness of the day.
15.22 The advantage of Tim Wellens (Lotto Soudal), Alex Aranburu (Astana), Jonathan Hivert (Total Direct Energie), Bruno Armirail (Groupama-FDJ) and Gonzalo Serrano (Caja Rural-Seguros RGA) remains around 4’10 ”.
15.19 Extremely elongated group in a very light descent section, always pulled by Primoz Roglic’s team.
15.17 Exceeded -100 from the finish.
15.14 On the run Bruno Armirail (Groupama-FDJ) has problems with the radio. The Frenchman takes off and goes to the flagship.
15.12 Jumbo-Visma now takes the lead in shooting.
15.09 Meanwhile in the queue of the group Angel Madrazo (Burgos-BH) who goes to the admiral for a small physical problem, it seems to the mouth.

15.03 So we have the day’s escape: Tim Wellens (Lotto Soudal), Alex Aranburu (Astana), Jonathan Hivert (Total Direct Energie), Bruno Armirail (Groupama-FDJ) and Gonzalo Serrano (Caja Rural-Seguros RGA) have 3’30 ”Advantage over the red jersey group.
15.01 Serrano rejoins the four, while the group slows down.
14.58 Three counterattackers have rejoined Wellens, while Serrano is still behind
14.56 Now Alex Aranburu (Astana), Jonathan Hivert (Total Direct Energie) and Bruno Armirail (Groupama-FDJ) move behind Wellens: for them about ten seconds late from Tim Wellens. Instead, Gonzalo Serrano (Caja Rural-Seguros RGA) loses the moment, moving with a little delay.
14.51 Julius Van Den Berg is back, the group now has Wellens in their sights
14.49 There seems to be little life for Tim Wellens’ escape: Van Den Berg is at 11 “but the Roglic group is just behind.
14.45 Armirail also resumed. Tim Wellens remains alone in command, passing alone at the GPM, distancing Julius Van Den Berg by 20 ”. Group to 28 “.
14.43 The group returned to the various pursuers, except Armirail and Van Den Berg. Jon Izagirre and Juan Pedro Lopez also leave the group, but their attempt is immediately blocked.
14.41 Bruno Armirail (Groupama-FDJ) and Luis Angel Maté (Cofidis) break away from the group and have taken Osorio back. Meanwhile, Tim Wellens was alone in the lead with just over 30 ”on the red jersey group.
14.38 The climb is already wrecking the chances of escape. Osorio and Amezqueta lost contact from Wellens and Van Den Berg
14.36 The group accelerates and returns under the fugitives, to which Geschke is also joining: only 23 ”between them.
14.34 Meanwhile, the first retreat of the day is that of Axel Domont (AG2R LaMagnola). For the Frenchman it is also the last Grand Tour of his career, having announced his retirement a few days ago.
14.32 Start of the ascent of the Puerto de Guirguillano. Juan Felipe Osorio (Burgos-BH), Tim Wellens (Lotto-Soudal), Julius Van Den Berg (EF Pro Cycling) and Julen Amezqueta (Caja Rural-Seguros RGA) have 37 “over Simon Geschke (CCC Team) and almost a minute and a half on the group.
14.29 Simon Geschke (CCC Team) also tries to join the fugitives.
14.27 Three men take to Osorio: they are Tim Wellens (Lotto-Soudal), Julius Van Den Berg (EF Pro Cycling) and Julen Amezqueta (Caja Rural-Seguros RGA). Almost a minute ahead for them.
14.24 Meanwhile, from the Twitter profile of the Vuelta, the words of Purito Rodriguez about the Alto de San Miguel:

14.20 A man managed to take a little edge on the group. This is Juan Felipe Osorio (Burgos-BH), with a 25 ”advantage.
14.19 This attempt also failed. They will probably expect the first uphill ramps to send away the day’s escape.
14.17 Now there are six to try.
14.14 Less than ten kilometers to go before the entrance to Puerto de Guirguillano, an ascent of 8.2 kilometers with an average gradient of 4.3%.

12.35 Also today we expect a very heated race full of twists, especially in the final with the ascent of the Alto de San Miguel.
12.30 Hello and welcome to the live broadcast of the second stage of the Vuelta a España 2020.
The report cards of the first stage of the Vuelta 2020 – The chronicle of the first stage of the Vuelta 2020 – The classification of the Vuelta 2020 after the first stage – The highlights of the first stage of the Vuelta 2020
Good morning friends of OA Sport and welcome to our LIVE LIVE of the second stage of the Vuelta a España 2020: Pamplona-Lekunberri. What awaits us is a challenging stage, where the men of the classification will be called into question again. In fact, 25 kilometers from the finish, the riders will start the Alto de San Miguel de Aralar, a long and hard climb, which in 2014 was the scene of Fabio Aru’s first success on the Spanish roads. When the athletes go down this slope, there will be just 17 kilometers to go downhill.
The red shirt Primoz Roglic, winner of the inaugural fraction yesterday, could immediately serve an encore. Richard Carapaz and Enric Mas, however, appearing the brightest on the Arrate climb, will try to give him as much trouble as possible. Furthermore, this stage is well suited to the characteristics of two of the blues at the start, namely Andrea Bagioli and Davide Formolo, who, on the first day, showed to have a good condition and could exploit in their favor a possible goal between the first of the general classification.
The appointment with the start of our LIVE LIVE is at 11.00, I recommend: do not miss it!
