The number of new corona infections detected in Germany in the last 24 hours is again higher than the number reported the previous day. According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the German equivalent of the RIVM, 7,595 cases have been added. On Tuesday, the RKI reported 6,868 new cases.

The number of new contamination cases is therefore considerably higher than on Mondays and Sundays. Then 4,325 and 5,587 new cases were reported respectively.

Last week, the RKI reported three days in a row record numbers of around 6,600 to about 7,800 infections per day. In total, the lung virus has now been diagnosed in 380,762 people in Germany.

The official death toll as a result of Covid-19 in the eastern neighbors is 9875. In the last 24 hours, another 39 people died in Germany from a corona infection.
