JawaPos.com – WhatsApp has released an update through version 2.2043.7 for the web / desktop client which allows users to make voice calls via WhatsApp Web.
But don’t be surprised if not everyone who downloads the new version will be able to make phone calls on the web as the feature is currently under development and will be enabled in the future for everyone.
WhatsApp is considering the idea of offering Voice and Video Calling features in the next few weeks, although development is still in beta, according to WaBetaInfo, as quoted by Antara on Tuesday (20/10).
WaBetaInfo also shared some screenshots regarding the development of the feature. In this feature, when a call comes in, users will find a new window where they can accept or reject incoming calls. When the user calls someone, WhatsApp will show another window type, smaller and it includes the call status.
WhatsApp reportedly will also include video calling in the new feature although it is likely to be introduced gradually. (Among)
