Raimonds Pauls anniversary concert “If You Weren’t …” will be performed at the National Theater in January

The anniversary concert of Raimonds Pauls will take place at the Latvian National Theater on January 11 and 12, said Lolita Grāvīte, Head of the Marketing and Public Relations Department of the Latvian National Theater. The concert will be attended by “Sinfonietta Rīga” led by Normunds Šnē and an instrumental group led by Raimonds Macata.

The special guest will be the outstanding opera singer Elīna Garanča, to whom Maestro, in anticipation of his anniversary, has dedicated two song cycles with poetry by Vizma Belševica and Ojārs Vācietis.

The second part of the concert includes songs from movies and theater performances with music by Raimonds Pauls, for which the new composers Lolita Ritmane, Rihards Dubra, Jēkabs Jančevskis and Raimonds Macats have specially arranged.

Tickets from October 20 at the box office of the National Theater and “Biļešu paradīze”.
