PEKALONGAN, KOMPAS.com – The first batch of subsidized wages for workers earning less than IDR 5 million has been distributed to 98 percent of recipients.

The second batch of aid distribution will be carried out by the Ministry of Manpower before November 2020.

The Minister of Manpower, Ida Fauziyah, said that the total number of aid recipients who met the requirements of the ministerial regulation was 12.4 million people.

“Alhamdulillah 12.1 million accounts have been transferred, which means 98 percent have been transferred. Insha Allah hopefully before November we can transfer subsidies for November and December, “he said Menaker Ida Fauziyah at the symbolic delivery of aid at Pekalongan, Sunday (18/10/2020).

According to Ida, there are still a number of workers who have not received the wage subsidy provided by the Ministry of Manpower.

This happens because there are a number of requirements that have not been fulfilled.

He also asked the company to fix a number of these missing requirements so that subsidies could be provided to workers.

“If 12.1 million accounts mean that someone has not received it, the money is still with us waiting for the requirements to be met. In the second (wave) term, the planned assistance before November reaches all accounts,” he added.

According to Ida, there are a number of problems that prevent workers from receiving wage subsidies, such as unequal worker account numbers, problematic identification numbers, and invalid account numbers.

“That is the reason why we cannot transfer. We want the recipient to be the rightful person,” explained Ida.
