Last Wednesday, Pope Francis did not wear the mask during the general audience with the faithful, and was only seen with it on one occasion, inside a car that took him inside the walls of the Holy See.
However, on Wednesday, for the first time, the pontiff resigned to greet the faithful at the beginning and end of the audience, apologized for that, for renouncing proximity, and urged them to respect the health protocols against the coronavirus.
