Transgenders have once again criticized the authors of Cyberpunk 2077. This time cosplay contest

Activists believe that if CD Projekt wanted to see trans winners, then the studio should have held a competition among trans people

Fighters for social equality lashed out at CD Projekt. Again. This time, the aggression was caused by a cosplay contest, the winner of which was a girl from Estonia Julia Ogorodnik, who tried on the image of a trans-person from the advertising banner in the game, outwardly vaguely resembling a girl, but with an unexpected “surprise” just below the belt.

ResetEra activists sincerely believe that CD Projekt is simply making some kind of fetish out of the LGBT community, and they are surprised that the studio did not run a competition among transgender people, since it wanted to see a trans person in the winners.

“We already went through this when they mocked us, and now they are promoting a cis cosplayer instead of even trying to find a trans cosplayer. In doing so, they know what they are doing and feed their audience. It’s disgusting and stupid. “

Cheerful, but in support of the game and the winning girl expressed even some representatives of the LGBT community:

“I myself am a trance and read the publication on Resetera, but I don’t see anything particularly terrible in the fact that a cisgender girl made such a cosplay. I think some people just need a reason to moan. I’m really looking forward to the game. “

  1. Headline calling people “Transgenders” did not disappoint. The article is incoherent, but still somehow smug? The author’s struggle with English negatively affects their ability to understand what is happening. But it looks like their ideas were probably not worth communicating.

    • This article is poorly written and lacks an understanding of what it is to be transgender. Fetishizing the trans community or celebrating the one part of a trans women’s body she is most insecure about is the issue. Being trans is not a fun experience having body parts you absolutely find revolting being praised by a bunch tween boys and basement dwelling men is not an exciting experience for anyone.
