First day of the investiture debate in the Galician Parliament, the presidential candidate submits his program to the vote of the chamber. Alberto Nuñez Feijoo has alarmed the Galicians in the first minutes of his speech before parliament: “what is to come is very hard” said Feijoo who has boasted of the management of his government while not sparing criticism of the Pedro Sanchez executive.
Consider the candidate that lack of leadership in managing the pandemic, in your opinion there is “absolute lack of coordination” believes that the central government must accept and exercise its powersHe wonders, if this is not the case “for there are 22 members of the government” he insists “this is not co-governance, it is misgovernance.”
Feijoo has asked that the resumption clause in health be eliminated in order to hire a greater number of professionals. He is convinced that in Galicia the pandemic hit to a lesser extent than in other autonomous communities thanks to the quick action of its executive. Regarding the management of residences and despite the high number of infections and deaths, Feijoo believes that there are reasons for self-satisfaction. He assures that the situation was worse in other territories.
Given the imminent start of the school year, the candidate ensures that his government has responded diligently to the needs of the school community, Despite the protests of all groups linked to education, Feijoo defends the appropriateness of the measures adopted.
Once the candidate’s speech is finished, the session is suspended until Thursday, it will be then when the debate takes place in which all the spokesmen will participate. The vote will be taken at the end of the day and on Saturday the solemn investiture session of Feijoo as president of the Xunta will be held for the fourth time.
