British heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua and the Bulgarian Kubrat Pulaev fight will take place on December 12 in London.
The duel will take place in the O2 Arena, not as previously planned at the new stadium of the English Football Premier League, Tothenburg’s Hotspur. The fight was supposed to take place on June 20, but it was postponed several times due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Joshua revived Mexican Andy Ruis in Saudi Arabia in early December, regaining four heavyweight championship belts in the World Boxing Association (WBA), International Boxing Federation (IBF), World Boxing Organization (WBO) and International Boxing Organization (IBO) versions.
Joshua, a 31-year-old in professional boxing, has won 23 of 24 fights, ending the duel with a knockout. Meanwhile, 39-year-old Puļevs has climbed the ring 29 times, winning 28 fights and finishing 14 of them with a knockout.
He suffered the only loss in November 2014, when the Bulgarian was slaughtered in the fifth round by Vladimir Klichko.
The most prestigious World Boxing Council (WBC) champion belt in heavyweight is currently owned by British Tyson Fury, who took it away from the American Denote Wilder in February. The two boxers are expected to have a third fight.
