First, Biedronka, and then Lidl, Kaufland and Auchan change the opening hours of stores. Markets will be open longer, some even around the clock. This is the response of retail chains to tightened government restrictions.
Lidl extends the operation of all stores from Monday to Friday until 22.00, but 230 branches all over Poland are to be open even until 23.00. In addition, 15 branches are to operate around the clock – incl. in Warsaw, Poznań, Łódź and Szczecin.
Kaufland stores will be open during the week from 6.00 to 23.00, and Auchan branches all over Poland will be open already at 6.30 – from Saturday, October 16.

Biedronka was the first to make such a move – from this weekend, almost 2,600 chain stores will be open at least until 23.00, including approx. 650 – up to 23.30. Additionally 40 branches will be open 24 hours a day. In the coming days, the extension of working hours will apply to other stores. Until now, Biedronka stores were usually open until 10.00 p.m. and selected ones until 11.00 p.m. or midnight.
