Gossip overview: Katja withdraws words and Linda had corona | early on NOW

Katja Schuurman deletes messages about catering policy, Patricia Paay is not satisfied and Linda de Mol already had corona in January. An overview of the entertainment world last week.

Since Wednesday, the Netherlands has been in a new (half) lockdown and the catering industry has had to close its doors for the coming weeks. Don’t just have a beer, don’t go out for a festive meal: the risks are too great.

It is clear that this has an enormous effect on everyone’s lives, but of course the catering industry owners in particular are the victims. In recent months, they say that they have done everything they can to comply with all the rules, but to no avail.

Many well-known Dutch people are also catering owners and just like Arie Boomsma stood up for his gyms, the Dutch celebrities give their catering colleagues a helping hand. This also applies to Katja Schuurman, whose husband has several businesses in the Netherlands.

“At 10:03 pm an official warning that you are not obeying the rules (closing at 10 pm)?” Said the furious presenter. She thought that was unfair, because the departing people only ate their dessert. Katja then also shared a video of the police at the door.

The police acknowledged in a response that the rules are sour, but that Katja still wrote things differently than it actually went: the video images were from another case, where the staff had a drink with the lights after 10 p.m. to do.

Finally, Katya retracted her words. “I deleted my last two posts. Not because I do not support them but because (…) I questioned certain corona measures that were hanging over our heads, because they were not explained properly or because they were not consistent. Now the measures are facts, I really only want to communicate one thing: let’s go for it together. For God’s sake. “

Destroying someone’s life

Everyone can still remember: in 2017 very intimate images of Patricia Paay were distributed. The videos were shared in WhatsApp groups, circulated around the office and appeared on Twitter. Two men were on trial this week for the latter.

Patricia was going through hell. The singer was constantly approached on the street, was no longer able to work and eventually went into therapy on television. Now the last chapter of this book has finally arrived and Patricia is all set to close it.

The Public Prosecution Service demanded a prison sentence of one month, two weeks of which was suspended, against one suspect and a community service of eighty hours against the other suspect. In addition, fines of 200 and 250 euros were demanded.

Although Patricia is happy that a signal is being sent that people should not just publish private photos or videos of someone else without permission, she found the requirement a bit disappointing.

“Literally destroying someone’s life and existence is therefore not worth much in the eyes of the law”, is her response. Whether she will appeal, she has not yet stated.

Patient zero?

Almost everyone now knows through someone who has had the coronavirus and these names cannot be counted on one hand among well-known Dutch people. This week a remarkable name was added: Linda de Mol appears to have had COVID-19.

With the well-known presenter, however, it is slightly different from what we have often seen so far: she says she already had it in January.

“It was corona, even before it was known that it played in the Netherlands. I thought it was normal flu, but it was very heavy”, said Linda.

The presenter has never had to cancel recordings and normally just stands in front of the camera with a few pills, but the corona virus was also too intense for Linda. “I really couldn’t stand on my feet anymore. And stuffy and no smell and no taste and a very high fever.”

Linda could not be 100 percent sure that it was the corona virus, because she has not been tested. “When I later heard all those symptoms, I thought: well, there is no other way. And I just kept so tired. Then sometime in the spring I was tested and it turned out that I had antibodies in my blood.”

There is no guarantee that she will not get it anymore and so Linda remains on her guard. “On the set I will go along with all the other precautions, because of course they don’t know yet whether you can get it a second time. I had those antibodies in May, so I don’t know if I still have them now.”
