Apple continues to supply earphones with iPhones in France due to French law – Tablets and Phones – News

I don’t think it’s a special choice. The entire market is moving to USB-C. For years, and we are finally getting to the point of wider adoption.

Many new cars come with a USB-C port, there is a rapidly increasing flow of USB-C chargers. I myself, but yes, n = 1, excluding apple chargers, already have 5 chargers with usb-c at home.

I also find it difficult to grumble about it. A lot of people (in my case 11 generations of iPhones) leave the accessories in the box. So for me they have 0.0 added value. And you can argue that buying 19 euros (or maybe less elsewhere).

Or for 7 euros of USB-A cable if you don’t want to buy another charger. Or if you want to be even more environmentally friendly, a USB-C> USB-A block.

In this case, I honestly believe, the less the better. As far as I’m concerned they could even have let the cable out. I swim in it.

A company will never admit that a move is to save money, but the environmental impact of not having to produce, and shipping 217 million chargers / earplugs is undeniable.
