One person was seen flying with a jet pack near Los Angeles airport, in the USA, one of the busiest in the world, in a second incident of its kind in the past two months. The FBI is investigating.
The crew of a China Airlines flight said they saw what looked like a person with a jetpack on Wednesday night, at 1829 meters altitude, 11 kilometers northwest of Los Angeles International Airport ( LAX), indicated the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
“The FBI is in contact with the FAA and is investigating several reports, according to witnesses, of what appears to have been a person in a flying backpack near LAX,” said Laura Eimilier, spokeswoman for the FBI office in Los Angeles. Angeles, cited in the American press.
The FBI is also investigating another similar incident in September.
It was not clear whether any of the cases represented a risk to air traffic.
