Fever, cough and shortness of breath are not the only warning signs of Covid-19 infection, even if they are the most common. In recent months, a growing number of doctors have documented some unexpected symptoms in patients with Covid-19, a disease caused by the new corona virus.

Covid-19 causes symptoms of diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and loss of appetite in a number of young and old patients. The virus can directly infect the cells lining the digestive tract, which is why some patients can test positive for the virus with a stool sample, even if the nasal swab is negative.

But if you have diarrhea, it doesn’t mean you have the new coronavirus. Diarrhea is very common, and it affects most people from time to time. This condition may be caused by an infection bacteria, certain viruses, or even parasites.
