Like the standard Golf GTI, Clubsport has a two-liter four-cylinder under the hood. However, this time it is tuned to 221 kW, equal to 300 hp. The torque reaches a maximum of 400 Nm. That’s 55 horsepower and 30 Nm more than the default version.

While the GTI also allows you to choose a manual transmission, Clubsport is always paired with a dual-clutch housing. The front wheel with the electromechanical active differential VAQ accelerates from zero to one hundred in less than 6 seconds, the maximum speed is 250 km / h.

The chassis has been retuned, the front axle has a more aggressive geometry, the brakes are more powerful. Adaptive dampers offer fifteen different stiffness modes, including one specifically designed for the North Loop of the Nürburgring.

Visually, Clubsport is different with bumpers, a rear roof spoiler, several inscriptions and special 19-inch wheels. Inside there are typical checkered seat covers. The manufacturer has not yet announced prices or market entry.
