40 new cases of Covid-19 were discovered in Estonia last day, but in Lithuania – 139, and three more people died with Covid-19 in Lithuania, Lithuanian and Estonian public media report.
Estonian public media ERR.ee reports that a total of 1,600 Covid-19 tests were performed in Estonia last day. The 14-day cumulative number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population in Estonia decreased to 43.49 cases. The day before this the figure was 44.77.
By the morning of Wednesday, October 14, a total of 35 patients with Covid-19 had been hospitalized in Estonia. The number of hospitalizations in Estonia has increased by three patients per day. Four are in the intensive care unit, one needs artificial respiration.
A total of 236,000 first Covid-19 tests have been performed in Estonia since the beginning of the pandemic, of which 3,947 or 1.7% were positive.
In Lithuania, 139 new cases of Covid-19 were detected during the day and three more people died of Covid-19. Just as much life the disease took a day in advance. As a result, a total of 109 people with Covid-19 have died in Lithuania so far, according to Lithuanians social media portal “LRT.lt”.
A total of 6,505 cases of Covid-19 have been reported in Lithuania so far. 3,461 patients are still ill, but 2,903 have recovered. A total of 141 patients are treated in hospitals, 18 of whom are in the intensive care unit.
