Jawad Al-Zayat, chairman of the Moroccan club Raja Casablanca, revealed the developments in the position of the team’s defender Badr Bannon regarding the transfer to Al-Ahly after the end of the current season.
Al-Zayat said in statements on the Moroccan “Oreizon” screen: “We have a philosophy of hope, and the club will not stand in the way of the players’ desire and will not block the path of its defect.”
As for Badr Bannon, he explained: “The player gave a lot to the club, and if there is a benefit to the player and the club, we must encourage the player to move, and this is the most I can say now.”
He continued: “The time will come to talk about it and announce some things, but now we cannot reveal anything.”
He ended: “The club has a philosophy that will not change, which is to encourage the player to leave if there is a benefit to benefit from these revenues and to build 10 players and promote them to the first team.”
Bannon was linked with moving to Al-Ahly, starting from the new season, to strengthen the defensive side, especially after Mahmoud Metwally’s injury to the cruciate ligament, in addition to Saad Samir’s lack of readiness due to his injury to Achilles tendon during the current season.
Bannon is considered one of the most prominent cards of coach Jamal Salami in the ranks of Raja after he helped “Al-Alamy” win the Moroccan League title for the 12th time in the history of the Green Citadel.
Bannon also has an African and Arab mission with Raja, as the Moroccan league champion prepares to face Zamalek in the African Champions League, and Ismaily in the Arab League.
Raja is scheduled to face his counterpart Zamalek next Sunday in the first leg of the semi-finals of the African Champions League competition, in contrast, the return leg will take place on the 24th of this month.
