Argentina travel to Bolivia headquarters on the second matchday qualifying for the 2022 World Cup. Disadvantaged first, Argentina managed to finish with a 2-1 victory.
Compete at Estadio Hernando Siles, La Paz, Wednesday (14/10/2020) in the morning WIB, Argentina started the match well. The Albiceleste dominated the early stages of the match even though there was no chance in the first 10 minutes.
Despite losing possession, Bolivia managed to make the first threat. In the 11th minute, Martins Moreno fired a speculative shot from distance. The ball does not aim at the target after just bouncing over the goal.
Rudy Cardozo threatened Argentina’s goal in the 13th minute. The ball shot from distance towards the goal, but can still be anticipated by goalkeeper Franco Armani.

Argentina got a golden opportunity in the 75th minute. Lionel Messi managed to outwit two Bolivian players from the right to then thrust the ball into Lautaro Martinez. The Inter Milan player managed to freely dribble into the penalty box and open fire. The ball failed to enter the goal after being pushed over by Carlos Lampe.
Argentina finally got the second goal in the 80th minute through Joaquin Correa. The goal came through Messi’s attempt to pass a pass to Lautaro Martinez, who then passed the ball to Correa to tear the Bolivia net. 2-1 Argentina leads.
A threat came to Bolivia shortly after conceding a second time. Nicolas Dominguez freely opened fire from the front of the penalty box, but the ball was just wide of the target.
There were no dangerous chances from either team in the remaining time. The match was completed 2-1 to win Argentina.
