Twenty years ago, the presenter of the program was ‘treated unfairly’ by Gordon, he said before. He left it open about what happened. But on last night’s episode, viewers were finally taken into what’s going on between the two.

“One of the most important things you have done: come to terms with yourself”, that’s how Johnny throws the ball. “But more importantly: also with others.” Gordon doesn’t seem to have quite figured out where Johnny wants to go with the conversation. He responds, “It’s never fun when you have to call people to say, ‘Sorry I got you on drugs.’ Anyway, I am far from finished with the list. ” Johnny then goes straight to the point: Gordon can also apologize to him.
“I used to like a party,” he says in a voice-over. “And Gordon then called that old man of mine and made me feel better. Time to talk that over.”
Gordon says he had good intentions with his decision to call John de Mol. “Then you were 22, I think. It was hard for you. Then I warned your father: this is not going well.” Johnny doesn’t get it. “If you were so worried it’s crazy you don’t come to me.” Gordon understands that the presenter did not like it. “My apologies for that, sincerely. From my heart. I think it is crazy that you bring this in, because this has been very important to me for a long time.”

It must have brought Gordon peace of mind: voicing this feud and again be able to cross someone off his excuse list. But that inner calm faded away like snow in the sun when he was recently ambushed in his own home. John van den Heuvel spoke with him and tells on RTL Boulevard how the singer is doing.
