Max Verstappen after the Grand Prix of the Eifel very briefly commented on the possible arrival of Nico Hulkenberg to Red Bull Racing. Although the Dutchman didn’t really want to say anything about it, his facial expression seemed to reveal a few things.
Which Alexander Albon is not a very good season at Red Bull Racing, is an understatement. Also during the Grand Prix at the Nürburgring he did not stand out well again. Where Verstappen rode in the front with the Mercedessen, Albon remained stuck in midfield. He complained bitterly about all the racing violence around him and eventually had to take his car to the pit box due to a problem. Again Albon was unable to convince and the question is how long he can stay. Hülkenberg has recently been frequently mentioned as a possible successor. Verstappen makes a brief comment.

Suddenly Hülkenberg appeared in the paddock again last weekend. The German was called up for the second time after a case of illness was reported to Racing Point. This time it was Lance Stroll who could not participate in the race weekend. Hülkenberg was allowed to take his place and again showed excellent things. However, when the man is asked if he wants Hülkenberg to be his teammate, Verstappen replies briefly but to the point, and with a big smile: “I will stay out of that.”
