The restaurant on Vienibas gatve is planned to open by the end of 2020 and the restaurant on Audeju street – in the first half of 2021. As you know, already in the spring of 2020, Tallink Grupp announced its intention to open the first fast food chain restaurant in the shopping and entertainment center “Akropole” at the end of 2020.
Commenting on the choice of locations for both restaurants, Katre Kevaska, Tallink Grupp’s coastal retail business development manager, says: “I am pleased that three great restaurant locations in Latvia have already been provided and we will soon be able to announce the opening dates of the first two restaurants. 2020. Active work is currently underway on the design and equipment of restaurants, as well as the development of procedures and staff selection for the successful start-up of restaurants in the Acropolis and Vienibas gatve, while complying with all current safety rules and measures. “
The restaurant on Vienibas gatve has great potential due to its close location on the main highway between Riga and Jelgava, as well as the location of the restaurant next to the shopping center, the company points out. It is planned that this restaurant will also be the first “Burger King” in the Baltics, where the first car box office will be created, in addition to offering customers greater mobility and the opportunity to enjoy world-famous burgers and other delicious restaurant dishes without getting out of the car.
The restaurant in Old Riga will be opened in the first half of next year, and it will offer its guests the opportunity to enjoy meals on the two floors of the restaurant and in the summer season also on the outdoor terrace.
“I am convinced that all three restaurants that we currently plan to open in Latvia will receive a good response and become popular, and we look forward to the opportunity to delight our customers with the famous – flame-grilled – burgers, as well as introduce the rest of our delicious menu, “added Katre Kevaska.
With the opening of three restaurants in Latvia, about 100 new jobs will be created. In total, over the next five years, it is planned to open more than 40 Burger King restaurants in the Baltic States with more than 800 new jobs.
In May and June of this year, four Burger King restaurants were opened in Tallinn. The restaurant Tartu opened in September.
In total, it is planned that there will be 8 restaurants in the Baltics by the end of 2020: five restaurants in Estonia, two in Latvia and one in Lithuania.
