In the second final series, the participants performed the most popular hits in Latvia and the world, during which the domestic popular band “Carnival Youth” also performed, delighting the stage with the single “Only The Moon Can See The Sun” from the band’s new album.
Cameroonian Kevin Dylan Feunang was the first to take the stage with R. Kelly’s emotional “I Believe I Can Fly”, which received criticism from the jury, saying Kevin is able to create more, but mentor Marat Ogleznyev expressed 110% support. However, this evening the audience did not agree with the mentor, but with the other members of the jury, as Kevin was among the three weakest participants, which led her to perform a lifeline. However, the rescue song did not convince the jury either and Kevin had to leave the show.
The twin sisters’ duo “Rozes” started the evening convincingly and performed Kristina Aguilera’s song “Ain’t No Other Man”, supplementing it with a gorgeous dance performance, after which Reinis admitted: “I can always be bribed with good choreography”, but the jury did not judge unequivocally. . The sisters also had to fight for the opportunity to stay on the show, performing a lifeline. The girls proved that they are ready to work well and deserve to stay in the show.
The sympathetic Dagnis Roziņš performed Ed Shiran’s romantic song “Photographer”, which seemed like a safe choice for the mentor, but despite this, Marat was reprimanded by colleagues, saying that it is a “big stone” in the mentor’s garden, because Dagnis did not complete the task. And perhaps it was this choice of song that made Dagnis go home, because the audience rated the singer with the lowest number of votes.
Anna Krista Ostrovska from Aizkraukle raised her mentor Intars Busulis with the strong singing of Madonna’s song “Like a Prayer”. Jury member Reinis Sējāns convincingly said: “I heard your big voice, which I had never heard before in such power, and it made me happy.”
“The spirit of unrest and the man rock’n’roll,” says Reini Liepa, his mentor. Tonight, Reinis performed the Bastille song “Pompeii”, which convinced with expression, energy and vocal strength. Diāna Paško and Leon Lūisa’s “Bleeding Love” moved the jury with the performance of the song, which was followed by Aija’s confession: “Rhine, I join you, I love Diana too.”
The young girls’ duo “The Gardens” gave the audience an energetic performance with Katie Perry’s song “Hot n Cold”, bete cartoonist Klavs Ozols created a real work of art on stage – Klava’s performance was complemented by his own animations, individual choreography and emotional “Coldplay” songs “Viva La Vida ”performance.
Expectant mother Elīna Gluzunova gave a personal message with the singer Pinka’s composition “Try”, which was also confirmed by the evaluation of mentor Reinis: “You are moving forward with strength, it was beautiful, and I love you!”
The extravagant Artis Zaķis accepted the challenge by performing the singer’s Adele’s song “Set fire to the rain”, in which Artis put a real experience, supplementing it with live and real emotions.
The owner of Absolute Hearing, Elīna Evelīna Jansone, took a risk tonight by wanting to demonstrate her vocal power with Lady Gaga’s song “Million reasons”, after which Reinis criticized Elīna, saying that “every new experiment gives something, this time it shows things that need to be polished”.
The trio “Lemonade” concluded the evening with a party on the stage with the energetic song “Celebration” from “Kool & The Gang”, which unanimously received a positive evaluation from the jury.
