FROM OUR NETWORK:

The State Mint coined the 5 lire coin in two different ways. In the older version a bunch of grapes has been engraved, while in the more recent and known one, we find a dolphin.

The values that we will report below are to be understood as merely indicative, since it is not obvious that a collector is willing to pay this sum to grab the coin object of his desire. In this regard, we also take this opportunity to remind you that, unless otherwise indicated, all prices shown refer to coins that are in an excellent state of conservation, i.e. in Fior di Conio or Proof. Therefore, if you have some 5 lire pieces in your house, regardless of the version in your possession, keep in mind that their value will largely be determined by the state in which they are stored. As it turns out to be obvious, the better the state of conservation, the greater their value.
