However, fate is relentless and death takes the lives of even those who are said to be like an element, temperamental, full of vigor, seemingly invincible. And such was the actor Martin Havelka, an actor of the Municipal Theater in Brno, about whom only loved ones and colleagues knew that he had been fighting an insidious disease for a long time. Unfortunately, he lost the fight.

Martin originally worked as a novice waiter in his native Karlovy Vary. It was also discovered there by the director of “Provázka” Zdeněk Pospíšil as an extraordinary talent. His entire acting career after “acting” on acting on a string with an actor in Hus combined with several Brno stages.

He has been working at the Brno City Theater since 1999, and with his contagiously explosive energy he delighted the audience in more than fifty roles on the Drama and Music Stages. For two of them, he found himself in a wider nomination for the Thalia Award, namely for the role of the unrestrained Truffaldin in the comedy The Servant of Two Masters and for the unforgettable, devilishly adorable Darryl in The Witches of Eastwick.

In addition to these two roles, he was nominated for the same award in 1998, for his portrayal of Che Gevara in the musical Evita, which then premiered in the Czech Republic at the Spiral Theater in Prague.
