Italian club Inter Milan has announced that its player, Ashley Young, has been infected with the emerging coronavirus (COVID-19).
Nerazzurri issued an official statement on his website, stating: “Inter Nazionale announces the positive of Ashley Young’s sample after the test he conducted on Saturday to detect the virus.”
The club confirmed that the player was subjected to health isolation, while adhering to the precautionary measures.
Ashley Young is the sixth player to be infected with the Coronavirus, after the quintet Alessandro Bastoni, Milan Scriniar, Radja Nainggolan, Roberto Gagliardini and Ionot Rado.
Inter Milan is preparing to face Milan on the 17th of October (Milan Derby) in the fourth round of the Calcio competitions.
It is worth noting that Young moved to Inter during the winter transfer period for the last season (January 2020), coming from Manchester United.
