If more than 150 out of 100,000 inhabitants of a region have been tested positive in a week, it is classified as ‘serious’, or if more than ten percent of the tests taken are positive.
Furthermore, ‘worrisome’ everywhere
In the other safety regions, the risk level is ‘worrisome’. The safety regions IJsselland, North Limburg, South Limburg and Zeeland have also been at that level since yesterday. Before that they had the qualification ‘vigilant’, the lowest risk level. Nowhere else in the Netherlands is that.
A region goes from ‘vigilant’ to ‘worrisome’ if there are more than 50 positive test results per 100,000 inhabitants in a week. The existing approach must be strengthened with additional measures to get the spread of the virus back under control, according to the government’s corona dashboard.
In this map the highest risk level applies to the darker colored regions, for the rest it is ‘worrisome’:
